Love in the Space That I Occupy

About The Author

Keith Scott

Keith L. Scott spends countless moments writing his thoughts about love, politics, and spirituality. His writings are heavily influenced by the poets and musicians that he most admires such as Nikki Giovanni, Langston Hughes, Gill Scot-Heron, Prince, Me’shell Ndge Ocello, and many more. He truly captures the essences of emotions in his writings since the age of 16.

He began writing “Love in the Space That I Occupy” to capture the emotional rollercoaster one experiences in relationships that go astray. Love takes you on this emotional ride with hopes that you can land safely and begin to recover. Enjoy!

A Broken Heart

I wish I could capture the way that she felt when she first met me
I’d put her love in a sealed glass to preserve it forever
But as wine gets better with time
As art becomes a classic with the passing of years
Her fleeting heart has broken mine
For I am left with bitter wine
And tears.
